Di Rocco教授目前是德国国际神经科学研究所的儿科主任, 曾担任罗马天主教大学医学院神经外科研究主席, 是国际知名的儿科神经外科医生。曾担任国际儿科神经外科 (ISPN) 和欧洲儿科神经外科学会 (ESPN) 主席。目前, 他是世界神经外科学会联合教育委员会主席。

还和M. Choux和K. Hovind教授一起创办了儿童神经外科研究生课程，该项课程在过去三十年里为世界培养了无数儿童神经外科医生。Di Rocco教授发表在各类科学期刊的文章超过400多篇，为教科书编纂了70多个章节的内容。他与人共同编写的儿童神经外科（Churchill Livingstone出版），该书荣获皇家作家学会医学书籍奖。
